Well I have been going around and around for a while about getting a remote start for my truck and my wife's truck. I have read numerous threads about Travis and KCAutosound over on F150online. So a couple of weeks ago I decided to give Travis a call and to see what would be a good fit for my needs. Talking with Travis was a pleasure and he answered all of my questions and then some. Well I finally decided on the CA-670 with the ford prewire(excelent option). After I ordered them Travis shipped them the next day. Now I decided to install mine first to work all the kinks out and I am just glad that Travis was a phone call away when I ran into some install problems(self induced). The install went very smoothly all the way up to the initial program and starting before the PATS module was installed. I noticed that my dome light didnt work when switched on and after the PATS module installed the truck would not start at all. Well after several phone calls with Travis we finally figured out the starting issue which was my fault for using a not recommended wire stripper which pulled the wire out of the PATS ring connector. So after I fixed that the truck worked great. The dome light issue was well put it this way, was a $50 dollar mistake on my part because I didnt pay attention to the colors for the dome light and parking lights. so now that I have a new switch installed the system is working great. I did at one point have trouble with the remote start not keeping the truck running in the tachless mode, after a couple of calls to Travis we decide to run a sense wire to the fuel injectors and that fixed that issue. Later on that night Travis called me to see if everything was ok, now that is customer service. I will definetly do busness here when I decide to upgrade my stereo. Now I installed my wifes system yesterday and I have to say that it went together flawlessly no hickups at all. The pre-wire and install instructions from Travis are top notch. If anyone is thinking about getting a system from Travis I say do it, he really cares about the customer. Thanks Travis Jack 04 F150 and 05 F150

Just wanted to give 2 huge thumbs up to Travis at KC Autosound!!!!!! I installed a Code Alarm CA680 this past weekend in my 2005 Ford F150 XLT using a prewired unit I purchased from him. With his help everything went smoothly and couldn't be happier!! Travis called me personally within 2 hrs of me sending off that email, and he helped me choose a system that would work well with my truck and get me what i wanted out of a remote starter system. I originally wanted a CA630 but he helped me choose a different system becuase the 630 would not work with the factory keypad in my door. I was hesitant at first because although i have a fair amount of experience with car mechanical systems and car audio, remote starters and security systems are a black art. I was afraid i'd cut through the wrong wires, but with Travis' instructions (with great pictures too btw) and prewired unit, I installed the system like a pro! (almost, just a lot slower!) All together it took me about 8 hrs to install (I spent time testing each wire, temporarily taped everything together, and once I verified it all worked I soldered everything) and that includes an hour break for lunch :-) Of course I found out that all his wiring instructions and colors and where to find the wires were dead on... I cant say enough good things about the customer service during the installation as well... I ran into a snag with programming the bypass module, and I called Travis on a Sunday afternoon (probably his only day off during the week!) and he walked me through the process. The system works great, awesome range and love the remote starter system. It has the LCD display with confirming text, so i know without looking outside to know if the truck is started, system armed/disarmed, and interior temperature. Love this system!!! All in all I can say that if you have the ability to put in an aftermarket car stereo head unit, then you have the ability to install a system prewired by Travis. Even after my system was installed, I emailed him about the possibility of putting in a starter in my father in laws' Pontiac, and he's helping me to choose a system for him too! He's a helluva nice guy too on top of being super knowledgeable, and I cant wait to purchase and install another system from him!!! Keep up the great work! Phi from CT 2005 Ford F150 XLT

I installed a Travis prewired CA-530 Code Alarm Remote start in my 2004 F-150 today. The installation guide that Travis supplied for my job was very good and the whole job went sucessfully and worked correctly the first time. I am very happy with the package Travis put together for me and would definetely recommend him.
