Just wanted to give 2 huge thumbs up to Travis at KC Autosound!!!!!! I installed a Code Alarm CA680 this past weekend in my 2005 Ford F150 XLT using a prewired unit I purchased from him. With his help everything went smoothly and couldn't be happier!! Travis called me personally within 2 hrs of me sending off that email, and he helped me choose a system that would work well with my truck and get me what i wanted out of a remote starter system. I originally wanted a CA630 but he helped me choose a different system becuase the 630 would not work with the factory keypad in my door. I was hesitant at first because although i have a fair amount of experience with car mechanical systems and car audio, remote starters and security systems are a black art. I was afraid i'd cut through the wrong wires, but with Travis' instructions (with great pictures too btw) and prewired unit, I installed the system like a pro! (almost, just a lot slower!) All together it took me about 8 hrs to install (I spent time testing each wire, temporarily taped everything together, and once I verified it all worked I soldered everything) and that includes an hour break for lunch :-) Of course I found out that all his wiring instructions and colors and where to find the wires were dead on... I cant say enough good things about the customer service during the installation as well... I ran into a snag with programming the bypass module, and I called Travis on a Sunday afternoon (probably his only day off during the week!) and he walked me through the process. The system works great, awesome range and love the remote starter system. It has the LCD display with confirming text, so i know without looking outside to know if the truck is started, system armed/disarmed, and interior temperature. Love this system!!! All in all I can say that if you have the ability to put in an aftermarket car stereo head unit, then you have the ability to install a system prewired by Travis. Even after my system was installed, I emailed him about the possibility of putting in a starter in my father in laws' Pontiac, and he's helping me to choose a system for him too! He's a helluva nice guy too on top of being super knowledgeable, and I cant wait to purchase and install another system from him!!! Keep up the great work! Phi from CT 2005 Ford F150 XLT

I found out about Travis through f150online.com. He came highly recommended so I decided to consider doing my own alarm because of a previous bad experience and did not want a hack job from a local shop on my new 08 f150. I called Travis and was impressed with all of the time he took to explain and answer any questions I had over about three separate conversations. We decided the Code CA-671 would be a good alarm for me. I received the alarm pre-wired with the installation instructions. I took my time and followed every step. I was able to install the alarm with a shock, tilt, glass breakage sensor, siren inside the cab, and a bypass module for remote start. I have never installed anything in a vehicle before so for me it was an accomplishment. Besides having clear instructions and the alarm being pre-wired for the vehicle it is Travis's customer service that makes this so easy. I have been amazed at the time that Travis has taken to help me. Anytime I have called him with a question he has been ready to help and if not right then he returns his calls in a timely manner. Most of the times I called him it was on the weekend so that is even more amazing. It's one thing for someone to offer good service when they are selling a product but Travis continues with that same service once you have purchased from him. He even called me several times to see how the install was going. After this experience I will continue to do business with KC Autosound and will tell anyone else to do the same. If you are thinking of buying an alarm and putting it in yourself to save money and ensure it is done right don't think of using anyone else. You will not be disappointed with KC Autosound. After finishing the install on the CA-671 I am very impressed with the alarm. I like the blue LED's inside the antenna that mounts on the windshield. It is bright and lets anyone know from a distance that there is an alarm in the truck. No drilling in the dashboard to mount a tiny red LED. The two way pager system is very nice and seems to work from a pretty good distance. Though Travis's instructions do give you programming instructions it is very easy to change options using the owners manual. The pager remote gives you all the information I think anyone would ever need from a paging system. A cool thing about the alarm is the horn honk pattern.
